Family Dollar Delavan - Alyssa Peluso, 31, was banned for life from the Delavan Dollar Tree at 303 Wright St. after a Nov. 25 Black Friday incident that left two employees with minor injuries.
Delavan City Police Department officers, along with Delavan City Ambulance personnel, were dispatched to the Dollar Tree for a report of a woman who refused to leave the store, according to a Delavan Police report.

An employee and manager at the Dollar Tree told police that Peluso hit her several times and injured her.

Peluso said he had previously stolen items from the store and later returned to the store to return/exchange the items for his cash, including oven mitts and gloves totaling five items valued at $1.25. According to the 15-page police report on the incident, the police reported the incident to the troop manager.
Things came to a head after Peluso was asked to deliver and employees tried to physically remove her from the Dollar Tree, which opened just before 9 p.m. is closed
At that point, Peluso threw two tables into the warehouse, and at one point, Peluso is said to have thrown the store manager into one and then four corner shelves with glass.
Peluso was taken to Lake Hospital in Elkhorn for treatment of a head injury that required three staples and a CT scan of his head.

After her release from Lakeland Hospital, Peluso was transported to the Walworth County Jail in Elkhorn, where she was indicted on multiple charges, including two counts of simple assault and battery on behalf of two Dollar Tree employees; An employee allegedly behaved in a disorderly manner when told to leave the store by store employees; one count of alleged possession of a controlled substance other than a schedule I or schedule II drug, one count of alleged possession of the drug oxycodone; And the number of misdemeanors who jump bail for public reasons.
According to a report from the Delavan City Department, Peluson's vehicle was towed from the scene by Delavan-based Purcells Towing & Recovery, after Peluson "walked out of the downtown Delavan Dollar Tree ... 303 S. Wright St. Life."

Official charges have not yet been filed against Pelusan in connection with the Nov. 25 incident at the Dollar Tree.

Peluso has two open criminal cases in Walworth County Circuit Court, including a May 2022 misdemeanor case of A domestic abuse bail jumping with a domestic abuse assessment and a September 2021 misdemeanor B disorderly conduct case with a domestic abuse assessment.
In a case concluded in December 2021, Peluso was found guilty of speeding for driving conditions after entering a no contest plea to a speeding violation in Villa Januensis.
