As we recently reported, an online crowdfunding campaign for the purchase of fighter jets was launched from Ukraine. Called 'Buy me a fighter jet', the campaign is asking the public for money for new fighter jets to defend against Russian advances.

"This air force is based mainly on old Soviet aircraft. That's what they're used to flying. That's what they have in their fleet. That's what we're trying to do to help them stay in the air. I will not speculate on the future of aircraft deliveries one way or another," he said.
