Being a military spouse doesn't mean your career has to end! Marine Corps community services to help you continue your career are available at all Marine Corps installations.

It is a Department of Defense program established to reduce adverse effects on the career paths of spouses of Active Duty Service members. The program gives special priority in the selection process to spouses with the highest qualifications among NF-3 positions and lower and equivalent hourly paid positions. Spouse Regulation requires a copy of the active duty member's regulation with the spouse's name listed. . Effective October 7, 2004. Spousal benefit claimants hired on a flexible assignment will not lose spousal benefits until they are transferred or hired into regular full-time or part-time employment. The number of times the half-benefit can be applied is not limited to orientation and selection for permanent positions. Spouses may be called to concurrent and ongoing duties. Eligibility terminates upon acceptance or rejection of an offer of a full-time or part-time position.
